Re: Dr. Andrews ESWT
You don't need to have hip issues or SI disfunction to see Dr. Andrew! He treats PN no matter what the underlying cause may be. You may read the posts about his treatment by typing "Cornwall" or "Dr. Andrew" or "ESWT" in the Search box in the right hand corner above. You can also contact him by email at the address listed under Doctors - Canada on the home page. Good luck in obtaining treatment for your symptoms.
Athlete until pain started in 2001. Diagnosed with PN in Nov. 2010. Probable cause: 3 difficult labors, 5 pelvic surgeries for endometriosis, and undiagnosed hip injuries. 60% better after 3 rounds of shockwave therapy in Cornwall, Ontario (Dec - Feb/12). 99% better after bilateral hip scopes for FAI and labral tears (April and July/12). Pelvic pain life coach Lorraine Faendrich helped me overcome the mind/body connection to chronic pain: http://www.radiantlifedesign.com

Hi alexaava, Welcome to HOPE
I haven't seen Dr Andrews (would if I could however) and my understanding is that he can treat scar tissue with the ESWT, so I don't think you need to have any hip or SI problems even tho' he is a chiropractor. Lernica and others will be able to tell you better.
If you haven't listened already to the pelvic messenger radio show with dr Andrews here it is http://www.blogtalkradio.com/pelvicmess ... elvic-pain. In it he says that he treats the person as a whole to try and identify the cause but there is no mention of having to have specific pathologies.
Have you had any MRI's either spinal or pelvic at all? I was wondering about sciatic nerve involvement as you mentioned leg and foot pain. Have you had a spinal MRI for instance to rule any lumbar impingement out?
There you are you see, Lernica got there before me. . . .dreadfully slow typist
Take care,
Helen

Thanks Ladies for the warm welcome!!
I am in touch with Dr. Andrews via email I sent my record and filled out his paperwork so he can review my case.. Its been a week be he emailed monday and asked what day and time would be good for me to speak on the phone. I just was trying find some other cases that he has treated that are simalar to mine but I know no two cases are the same he has only treated 30 patient thus far with a 95% sucess rate. It sounds like he doesn't know he can help you unless he exams u and you try his treatment procotal. I have had a MRI of the lower spine I don't really have much back pain but I had a fluid in between the disc S2 and S3 was leaking but thats all it really showed. The pain down my right leg radiated from the inner thigh I beleive its pudendal related but who knows for sure.
