Thanks Lightmail and Violet M. I think i will start to prove clonazepam at first. I´ve heard that Ambien is a sleep inducer that works very well, but the effect is very short in the time, no more than 1 to 1,5 hours. Antidepressants, well, I´m taking cymbalta, so adding a new antidepressant i think that will be dangerous.

I have been having trouble sleeping, too. I have terminal insomnia, which means I have no difficulty falling asleep but I wake up early. I can only get 4 hours or so. I have been taking Ambien, which has helped a lot. Last night I tried to sleep without it and again I woke up without it. I think most of it is due to anxiety since my pain has returned following surgery. In fact my pain levels if anything seem worse than they were. My libido is totally shot and I am at the end of my rope.

Are you taking anything to aid sleep Biker George? or any antidepressant (sorry if you have already posted this info) You sound down and I just wanted to let you know that people are thinking about you and wishing you the very best with your recovery.
Take care,
Helen

George I can relate to what you are experiencing with insomnia. Without meds I hardly slept at all but even with them I was lucky to get 4 or 5 hours sleep a night. I'm sorry to hear you are not doing so well but please don't give up because there are other options you can try. I know it's kind of soon after your surgery to be thinking of other options just yet and I know how you can get burned out on doctors but please keep fighting.

PNE since 2002. Started from weightlifting. PNE surgery from Dr. Bautrant, Oct 2004. Pain now is usually a 0 and I can sit for hours on certain chairs. No longer take medication for PNE. Can work full time and do "The Firm" exercise program. 99% cured from PGAD. PNE surgery was right for me but it might not be for you. Do your research.
