Splinter Sensation in Coccyx

Post by maryflaw »

I have posted before several months back. Now besides in intense vaginal burning and tearing sensation I have this feeling like my tailbone has splinters. Has anyone had this experience and do you have any suggestions to alleviate the pain associated with this? I am having a very difficult time during this Christmas season. My doctor basically told me to expect more pain because of the stress related to this time of year and not to call him. How lovely is that.
Perhaps he is correct, I need to just accept it.

Mary, I wouldn't accept that you just have to live with the pain. Do you have a good pain management doc? Some people have had coccyx pain relieved by ganglion impar blocks. Have you tried those before?

PNE since 2002. Started from weightlifting. PNE surgery from Dr. Bautrant, Oct 2004. Pain now is usually a 0 and I can sit for hours on certain chairs. No longer take medication for PNE. Can work full time and do "The Firm" exercise program. 99% cured from PGAD. PNE surgery was right for me but it might not be for you. Do your research.

Hi Violet,
I just had botox injections (my second attempt) with a higher dosage. I am hoping that I get some relief with the injections. They told me that I should not expect any result until two to three weeks. It was lovely being numb the day of the injections though :D

My pelvis is not straight so Dr. Popeney told me that I am not a great candidate for the surgery. I believe I would try just about anything to be able to live normal again. I feel for all of the other women and men who suffer from this.
