Sunil,

This interview was done by a women's gynaecological support group called GAIN Inc. As you are male, if you have time or are interested, you could seek out a similar group who support men. Women are more often likely to form groups where they can discuss their problems more so than men. Perhaps Australia would have a 'Chronic Pain Society' that you could approach and get them to be involved with issues of PN. Maybe even ask Prof. Vancaillie & Peter Dornan to give a talk. (They both treat males for PN issues.) Someone would have to initiate the first step and it could be yourself. This particular interview was initiated by myself. I found the support group in Perth, and asked Prof. V if he would give a talk at one of GAIN's awareness days. both he and Dr. Pavy (my pain management doctor.) agreed. I just googled http://www.chronicpainaustralia.org/ Would be a good place for you to start. The more people we have taking the first step the more help and information will be available. You would be a great source of information and support to other men who are suffering but have nowhere or no-one to turn to for advice. I would be willing to also get in touch with Chronic Pain Australia. Between us we could see what could be done. I was hoping that one day we could have ABC or SBS do a documentary but I don't know where to start. I looked at the TV channels online but their application for ideas only seem to be for people in the media.

Maybe someone in the media might see this website and help us get started.

Catherine.
