walking / pelvic floor

Post by kat »

just for those of us with struggles with our pelvic floors. This is what leads to cramps, restroom issues and instability with walking.

PT taught me how to use a cane for the left leg with obturator nerve damage because I hold my pelvic floor tightly when I walk due to fear that I may fall, as I sometimes still due, or the instability in my pelvis due to having the ligament severed during my decompression surgery for the pudendal on the left side.

It allows me to stand up strait, letting my pelvic floor remain relaxed and corrects my posture.

Just a thought for those of you struggling to walk due to pain from holding muscles too tightly or those of you will pelvic floor PT.

I'm aware that my case is sort of extreme so disregard if this isn't your issue. I just want to share as much as I can so others don't get as bad as I did before they are cured.

Born with pudendal and obtorator neuralgia. 32 years of being misdiagnosed.

Currently in PT for many pelvic floor issues due to having PN for so long.
