Dear Julie,

I cannot comment specifically on your case as we are not in a treating relationship. In a general context, I have seen it occur after hysterectomies. I'm willing to bet any physician treating pudendal neuralgia has seen it develop after hysterectomies. I am uncertain whether this is due to the surgery itself or the positioning during the surgery, or both. I suspect but cannot confirm that the required lithotomy position may play a role. I'm sorry you are suffering.
