These are the lyrics to a song named You don't know by Katelyn Tarver. When I hear this song it touches my heart because the words are so simple but powerful! I think we can all relate to this song.

I know you've got the best intentions
Just trying to find the right words to say
Promise I've already learned my lesson
But right now, I wanna be not okay
I'm so tired, sitting here waiting
If I hear one more "Just be patient"
It's always gonna stay the same
So let me just give up
So let me just let go
If this isn't good for me
Well, I don't wanna know
Let me just stop trying
Let me just stop fighting
I don't want your good advice
Or reasons why I'm alright
You don't know what it's like
You don't know what it's like
Can't stop these feet from sinking
And it's starting to show on me
You're staring while I'm blinking
But just don't tell me what you see
I'm so over all this bad luck
Hearing one more "Keep your head up"
Is it ever gonna change?
So let me just give up
So let me just let go
If this isn't good for me
Well, I don't wanna know
Let me just stop trying
Let me just stop fighting
I don't want your good advice
Or reasons why I'm alright
You don't know what it's like
You don't know what it's like
Don't look at me like that
Just like you understand
Don't try to pull me back
Let me just give up
Let me just let go
If this isn't good for me
Well, I don't wanna know
Let me just stop trying
Let me just stop fighting
I don't want your good advice
Or reasons why I'm alright
You don't know what it's like
You don't know what it's like
You don't know, you don't know, you don't know
You don't know what it's like
You don't know what it's like
You don't know, you don't know
You don't know what it's like
You don't know what it's like
A song we can all relate too!
Re: A song we can all relate too!
That is so true that most people don't know what we go through. It is easy to get really burned out on seeing doctors and traveling all over the place to get treatments.
I especially like the place in the song where it says I don't want your good advice or reasons why I'm alright. You're not alright if you have PNE or PGAD but people who haven't experienced that just don't get it.

PNE since 2002. Started from weightlifting. PNE surgery from Dr. Bautrant, Oct 2004. Pain now is usually a 0 and I can sit for hours on certain chairs. No longer take medication for PNE. Can work full time and do "The Firm" exercise program. 99% cured from PGAD. PNE surgery was right for me but it might not be for you. Do your research.

My favorite part of the song is
"I'm so tired, sitting here waiting
If I hear one more Just be patient
It's always gonna stay the same".

I remember when I was going through PGAD and PNE it felt like forever waiting for every medical appointment and trying not to get my hopes up too much. The waiting can be unbearable -- waiting for appointments and waiting for healing.

Thanks so much, hopeitworks. It's a great song. Spot on. And you two did pick the best sets of lines---i.e., on not wanting advice (I hate getting advice from anyone who does not have it or is not my husband (who knows as much I do about it and always has helpful advice)) and on the struggle of waiting (waiting for, as you said Violet, appointments and, of course, healing).
