Does anyone know what Hibner's costs (before any ins. reimbursement) for decompression surgery have been since he stopped taking insurance?
I don't want to drain my life-savings for a surgery that might not work and may even make thinks worse. haha

PNE since 2002. Started from weightlifting. PNE surgery from Dr. Bautrant, Oct 2004. Pain now is usually a 0 and I can sit for hours on certain chairs. No longer take medication for PNE. Can work full time and do "The Firm" exercise program. 99% cured from PGAD. PNE surgery was right for me but it might not be for you. Do your research.

Wow, it's not wonder why people opt to travel overseas for less invasive key hole surgeries.

I met with Dr Hibner recently virtually.
He provided a "step-wise" approach, first to treat the muscles and second to treat the nerves.
1.) Treat the muscles
a. take a compounded suppository which contains ketamine, valium, and a baclofen. He says you take it before going to bed.
b. Take either Botox or Daxxify. Once you take, you have to go to a PT. regularly Daxxify works longer and is stronger. They only last for so many months and then you have to take again. Later I received the “good-faith estimates (GFEs)” for each. The GFE for Botox is $10,900 and the GFE for Daxxify is $19,700. You have to be sedated and have a “chaperone” with you. It usually takes 3-4 weeks to start working. The hope is that after several treatments of Botox (or Daxxify) along with regular PT, you can eventually stop the Botox.
2.) Treat the nerve
a. Use Human Placental Mesenchymal Stem Cell Exosomes (hpMSC-Exo). For short, he called it “placental allograph.” He stated that the material does not come from an aborted fetus. The GFE is $6,714.50.
b. Do pudendal nerve decompression surgery. He says it’s way too early to consider surgery. (as stated in a post above, the cost for that is about $30K.
Doing all of the above is too expensive to me. If I had a cool million, I'd be okay doing it. I'd also be okay if there was a very high percentage chance that at least one of these would work. Due to my smaller savings, spending that much money for the risk of no relief is not something I'm going to do. I would be crushed to spend all that money for no relief.
