Hi everyone
Recently I was diagnosed with pudendal nerve entrapment. I live in Australia however I'm currently on holiday in Europe, and I've booked to have an in person consultation with Dr Bautrant to get a second opinion.
Has anyone else had an in person consultation with Dr Bautrant? If so, did any of the tests done aggravate the pudendal nerve? I'm really looking forward to the consultation with Dr Bautrant, however as I'm on holiday in Europe (doing a road trip so lots of sitting in a car as well as the long flight back to Australia) I'm keen to find out if this will involve agrevating the nerve. (A number of months ago I saw a PT who did internal myofascial release and I was in severe pain day and night.)
Thanks
Lisa
Upcoming consultation with Dr Bautrant
Re: Upcoming consultation with Dr Bautrant
Hi Lisa,
I can't say for sure what he does now but when I saw him he did a pelvic floor exam and pressed on the pudendal nerve to see if it was tender. It wasn't like having pelvic floor PT so it wasn't terribly painful afterward.

PNE since 2002. Started from weightlifting. PNE surgery from Dr. Bautrant, Oct 2004. Pain now is usually a 0 and I can sit for hours on certain chairs. No longer take medication for PNE. Can work full time and do "The Firm" exercise program. 99% cured from PGAD. PNE surgery was right for me but it might not be for you. Do your research.

Thanks Violet - hopefully not a too painful consultation.

How do you get an appointment with him?
Re: Upcoming consultation with Dr Bautrant
I have been told within the last year that you can still reach him via email at ebautrant@l-avancee.fr
Sometimes he is traveling and may take some time to get back to you. I found him to be very compassionate.
You could also try calling the office if you speak French. https://www.pudendalhope.info/european- ... ns/#france
