Hi Erin,
How is it all going? Are you home again from hospital? Has the infection gone? If you can manage to sit at the computer we'd love to hear from you regarding the stimulator implant. I know it's not easy for you at the moment but your experience will help others. Hope it's all going well and you get away for your holiday.
Get well soon.
Catherine

Hi Catherine and fellow pns
Its been 2 weeks now since ive had the permanent stim, its not working 100% atm and need to go in on tuesday to see prof and get the stim checked and re programmend. Since the infection has gone i have felt heaps better, when the stim was working i was able to reduce my ms contin so im on the mends but have had to increase it in the meantime. Its a weird sensation having the stim i have it on cycling atm which is 2 minutes on 2 minutes off so the nerves can settle down and get used to the stim. Still in the early days, have been told it can take awhile to get the full effect.

Hi Erin,
Many thanks for letting us know how you're getting on. It was good to hear you're over the infection and can start adjusting to the stim. Will be following your progress with great interest. Good luck! Stephanie

Do you all know if anyone has received decent results with a sacral stimulator without having surgery first?

Hi Faith,
The stimulator we have here in AUSrTRALIA is called a precision plus. And yes there are several people that have had sucess from the stim without surgery.

Hi erin,
My doctor advertises the percision plus too. I was just under the impression it didn't really help pre-op. ARe you able to sit at all with it? Where do you all have it implanted, on the sacral nerve roots or the PN? I can't seem to find good research on it. The only thing I have seen is it helped people with incontinence from PN. Does it help you all who have it with other issues?
Thanks!

Catherine A,
I saw that you have a roho cushion. What kind do you have. I am in the process of trying to get one.

Hi Faith,
I purchased my Roho cushion online from The Roho store.
http://www.therohostore.com/Departments ... ating.aspx
Model no. LTVC.
Ness, who posts on here has the same one. After trying various cushions we both agree that we're quite satisfied with this one.
I couldn't afford to spend hundreds of dollars on a cushion but I'm very happy with this. it comes with a small pump to make it as soft or as firm as you want.
It came from the US but arrived door to door delivery by FedEx in 5 days.
cheers,
Catherine
