Hi Merrie - I just read about a small study done by Dr. Donald Francis at SF Gen Hospital of patients using opiates and marijuana together for pain relief. They found no negative synergistic effects when the two are combined. And I remember from the presribing info for Lyrica that it doesn't potentiate any other drug. The only drug that mixes unfavorably with opiates or Lyrica is alcohol. Cannabis itself is one of the safest drugs avilable. There has never been a life threatening overdose recorded that I have ever heard about. You are lucky that you live in California where it is readily available for the price of a $50 doctor visit amd a visit to your local dispensary.
