I have only had 3 sessions with the physiotherapist once a month or so (I have to fly to see him as he is at the top of the country). He gave me stretches to do everyday. I feel there may have possibly been some relief after the first session (it's hard to be sure). However, everything seemed to tighten up after the second session and any gain i may have got has now gone. I am seeing him one more time for now for him to show me how to self treat myself.

The MRIs my neurologist sent me for all came back normal. However, the MRI Dr Aszmann has asked me to get I haven't got yet. I am in the process of scheduling it. It is a different area to the other MRIs I had done. Dr Aszmann specifically wants an MRI of the pelvis to include the urogential floor/diaphragm to see if he can see any abnormalities there.

Well... I had surgery with Dr Aszmann's mentor, Dr Dellon. A failure.
I do not know of great successes with Dr Aszmann. Search for his name on this forum or on the Facebook forum.

In any case, if you feel surgery is the answer for you and want it, you will get it. It will simply be deemed "exploratory".

Why not see Dr Baranowski in London for an opinion?

CK85, I am not in the UK but it seems that Dr Baranowski is the main specialist.

Wow! I am sure there are specialists in London. Dr Baranowski works with some PTs so he can refer you.

I am in the UK, and have done a HUGE amount of research on this PN stuff. DO NOT have surgery in Bristol, try Dr Ruth Lovegrove Jones PHD in pelvic pain physio Southampton. Maria Eliot Harley Stree Physio. helen Keeble Chelsea Physio start off with the least invasive, I have had nothing invasive at all and I am hugely better than I was a year ago.

CK85, You mentioned an injured hip. You might want to check out Lernica's posts on femoroacetabular impingements and labral tears and consider whether that is something you should look into.
