I called the Boulder foam store since I am 30 minutes away. I was excited about heading down there tomorrow as I have a plane trip next week. Man who answered the phone was no help. He said they didn't have cushions, couldn't make a cushion, couldn't help me, didn't have what I was looking for, said they mostly do mattresses. Every answer was negative. Their website showed lots of options but apparently they don't do any of that anymore. I asked if I could buy pieces of foam to make my own. He wasn't encouraging on that either. Not impressed. Guess I will hock something to buy a Theraseat..

If sitting on a toilet seat helps his pain, I think this solution may be helpful for him.

Try buying two Putnams four inch cushions and cut a toilet sized hole in each. Put one on top of the other and your husband could have the equivalent of sitting on a toilet seat.
The cushions come with removable covers and with covers on you don't notice the hole in the foam.

You can get two such cushions in a bag like this one:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07 ... UTF8&psc=1
This is the Putnams cushion: https://putnams.co.uk/collections/press ... 1069902333
I didn't bother with the ones with cut outs because the apertures are too small.
