Hi raynor,
I'm sorry about all you and your husband are going through. The PN(E) journey is long, difficult and frustrating for all it touches. It doesn't sound like your husband "failed the test". Nerve blocks aren't designed to provide any type of long lasting relief. If he got even 30 minutes of no pain, that would be considered a positive response by most peoples standards. Some don't get any relief at all but that doesn't mean he doesn't have PN or PNE. It also depends on the person administering the blocks.

Who ordered the blocks? Has he seen a PN doctor yet? Was this a PN block? Who did them?

It would be helpful to know a little more about your husbands symptoms and where you've already been. Would it be possible for you and your husband to have a 3T MRI with Dr. Potter in NYC?
Warm regards,
Karyn
