There are some helpful slides in the presentations. This one describes the common sites of compression for the pudendal nerve



Also this one was interesting. There has been a lot of talk about various scans for the pudendal nerve. However this slide presented by Antolak would suggest it is only possible to know for certain if you are entrapped during surgery. Admittedly this is only in a presentation by a single surgeon - Antolak.

For example if you are considering the TG surgery the presentation entitled Pudendal Nerve Decompression Surgery: Transgluteal Technique gives a good explanation of the operation. Obviously different surgeons have varying techniques but it is a good over view. Also Case Presentation and Discussion describes a surgery success.
