PN, Pelvic Varicose Veins, Nutcracker Syndrome… Help!

Post by Nina Par »

Hi, I’m a 22 yo woman based in Spain.

I’ve been dealing with pelvic pain for two years and a half and I have been treated of my pelvic varicose veins but I’m still enduring so much pain. Besides, my feet also hurt a lot (sole of the foot, instep, finders…) as if someone was biting them or feeling like electric discharges.

I can barely walk and I can sit for one to two hours. I’ve been diagnosed with the Pelvic Varicose Veins, Nutcracker Syndrome, a possible pudendal entrapment, among other connected digestive and back problems. My pain isn’t 24/7 but I have lots of crisis during the day (every day).

I feel pain from my navel to my feet (including my knees, gluteus, genital parts…) and it’s so hard to live like this because I only can lay on my bed/sofa (and even then I’m hurting). Has somebody been treated with something that relieved the pain?

My pain is like electrical shocks, it’s felt very deep and it’s like somebody is biting or stabbing you from the inside. It usually appears for some minutes or sometimes it can develop into a huge crisis of one hour where not even morphine is even able to stop the pain.

Thank you,

Nina

Hi Nina,

It sounds like you have a lot going on. Since you aren't sure about pudendal nerve entrapment, maybe you need some more diagnostics to determine if you have it. What diagnostics have you had so far that make you suspect pudendal nerve entrapment? You might find this article helpful. https://www.pudendalhope.info/wp-conten ... iteria.pdf
I had pudendal nerve release surgery and I'm doing great now but, you really need to make sure you have a correct diagnosis before trying PNE surgery because it can make people worse. And you want to try conservative treatments first - like physical therapy.

Have you been treated for Nutcracker syndrome yet? Here is a link to some info on Nutcracker syndrome. https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/d ... r-syndrome

PNE since 2002. Started from weightlifting. PNE surgery from Dr. Bautrant, Oct 2004. Pain now is usually a 0 and I can sit for hours on certain chairs. No longer take medication for PNE. Can work full time and do "The Firm" exercise program. 99% cured from PGAD. PNE surgery was right for me but it might not be for you. Do your research.
