Hotel recommendations in Phoenix

Does anyone have any hotel recommendations when going to Phoenix? What area of the city do you think is best to stay? I am of course looking for a good deal too

I LOVED the Clarendon! Nearby, funky, fun, nice. It was a deal through priceline but now has become more pricey. I got it for 65 but now it's around 130. Call with this code "loco" for a 25% off discount.

Just wanted to update that I found out some info on Hotels near Dr. Hibner's office:
If you look under St. Jospeh Hopsital's website
http://www.stjosephs-phx.org/Patients_A ... ors/186536 you will see a list of hotel accomodations. If you call the hospital concierge at 602-406-4949 they will email you a more detailed list with discounts you can get since you will be coming for medical treatment.

The closests hotels are the Clarendon and the radisson. I think both offer a discount if you mention the hospital.
