I showed it to Dr. Renney a couple of weeks ago and he thought Dr. Popeney had a subscription and requested he get it for us. I haven't heard back, so I'll follow up to see if it's available to us this way.

I have the whole article as a .pdf file but am having problems getting it uploaded.

Is this his article from December 2009??? If so, I've read it and it is very thorough for not only explaining PN and PNE, but the conservative measures he has been using in his practice before heading off to the surgery. He may have a newer one out though, I don't know.

I sent it to Ezer to see if he could get it loaded here but I don't have it on the drive on this computer. It's from last year and doesn't address his latest protocol; it was long and mostly talked about how rare it is and how he has deviated from the Nantes criteria. I still think Professor Robert's study was a much more scholarly evaluation of neuropathic pain in the pelvis.

I do not know if we are allowed to share those journal articles; what are the rules behind that? Are they public domain? I don't have an online copy or a link to it (if this is even the one in question, from late 2009 I do believe); my husband requested it from our local hospital's medical librarian and she printed it out for us to take to our PCP when we started this whole saga.

Of course I wouldn't want to withhold any articles or the like from my fellow PNE sufferers. I have a copy in my medical file at home but I am out of state being taken care of by dad and stepmom. I have to call Dr. Hibner's office soon anyway. Next time I do, I will ask Patty there if she has any insight into if those articles are allowed to be made public or if we have to request them from journals ourselves.

They're not secret, they're in the public domain as anybody with paid library access can get, they're MEANT to be read and used, they're just not on free internet links all the time. Lots of medical journal articles have been shared all over these forums and lots of people have people have either posted the link to the free abstract on this one already, and person after person has chimed in to wish they could see it.

At least it will be on here soon. Not everyone will find value in it but at least it will be available.
