Pregnancy with PN?

Post by Erigtf93 »

Good morning,

I was diagnosed with pudendal neuralgia following childbirth three years ago. I wanted to know if anyone whose condition was caused by childbirth has seen improvement—since my second electromyogram seems to show some progress—and also if anyone with this condition has become pregnant and how it went for them, as I’m wondering if I’ll ever be able to do so myself.

Thanks and best regards,

Erika.

Hi Erika,

You might be interested in reading this post: https://www.pudendalhope.info/forum/vie ... ant#p65233
I don't have any experience with pudendal neuralgia and pregnancy myself, but you can probably find more posts from women who had pregnancies if you go to the upper right corner and type "pregnant" in the search bar.

Wishing you the best,

Violet
PNE since 2002. Started from weightlifting. PNE surgery from Dr. Bautrant, Oct 2004. Pain now is usually a 0 and I can sit for hours on certain chairs. No longer take medication for PNE. Can work full time and do "The Firm" exercise program. 99% cured from PGAD. PNE surgery was right for me but it might not be for you. Do your research.

I think it would be really difficult to raise a child when you have a lot of pain. Not sure how you managed to get through the last 3 years but hopefully your future years will be better. Many people do get better with the right treatments and are able to live normal lives so there is reason for hope. ;)
