Post Bowel Movement Discomfort

Post by tummydepressed »

Hi all. Just wondered if anybody suffered from this.

Often, I resist the urge to have a BM. If I am at work, I don't want to have to visit the bathroom for the 30 minutes it takes me.

So, when I get home I have a BM, but it can be an effort. The stools are not hard, actually they are soft, but they do have to be 'pushed' out. They can form weird shapes as they pass through my weird colon......

Afterwards I get bad spasms. Sometimes I get wind... my whole colon feels like a pressure cooker bearing down my rectum. I have tried to pass more stool at this stage, but often it is just wind.

I thought BM's relieved symptoms, but I experience quite the opposite......... Would be interested in any thoughts....

Most people with PN find that having a BM is a major pain trigger. And - I know you know this already - it is not a good idea to ignore the 'call of nature'....
