more drugs and more testing...sigh

Post by Chex »

I posted recently about not being sure if I had PNE. I had another dr. appointment today and the dr. is going to look into nerve damage testing. She is also sending me to be checked for fibromyalgia. She pressed on the pressure points however and they were not very sore for me but she pressed very lighlty. My question is if I'm alredy on lyrica and cymbalta, would I feel the pain of the pressure points?

She also put me on elavil today to take at night. As said I already take lyrica and cymbalta. I am also trying vagifem. sigh Is anyone else on all these drugs at the same time?

In my experience pressure tenderness on pressure points can be felt regardless of medication.
pelvic pain started 1985 age 14 interstitial cystitis. Refused medical care from age 17, did GREAT with self care for years.
2004 PN started gradually, disabled by 2009. Underlying cause SIJD & Tarlov cysts
improved with PT & meds: neurontin, valium, nortriptyline, propanolol. (off nortriptyline & propanolol now, yay!)
Tarlov cyst surgery with Dr. Frank Feigenbaum March 20, 2012.
Results have been excellent so far; but I won't know my final functional level for a couple of years.
