distal Alcock canal decompression

Post by Question »

Hi - does anybody know whether a surgeon can decompress the distal part of the Alcock's canal? I believe this is where I am entrapped but as far I can see it seems to be the one area that can''t be decompressed by a surgeon. Hopefully, this isn't the case.

Hi, Dr. Lee Dellon in Baltimore, MD and Dr. Aszmann are the only ones who can do this I believe. Anybody please correct me if I'm wrong, but I am entrapped possibly there and my dorsal branch of pudendal nerve. If you need any more help or info, you can message me. There's Always Hope!

Dellon and Aszmann have the best approach to reach this part of the Pudendal Nerve than any other surgeon if I'm not mistaken. By distal, I mean the area closest to the dorsal Nerve. Hibner even admitted with his Transgluteal approach he can not reach this area, so Dellon and Aszmann do have the best approach and chance of reaching it.

I'm also not sure when you last talked with Dellon, but I just met with him and emailed him and he has a new approach that CAN reach this area, which is why I am probably going to get surgery done with him or Aszmann soon.

Hi - that's good news - do u have his contact details by any chance? Also would u mind me asking what kind of symptons u have? Just asking to see whether they match mine as would be a good indicator that I have entrapment in the same place.
