Many of us, including myself have increased pain with a period. During this time there is inflammation in the pelvis. My doc. told me to start using anti-inflammatories during this time. I used them years ago and they helped. I'm hoping that now, after surgery, they will be even more effective.
Just a thought for you girls with this problem.

Kat, when you say "ati-inflammatories", do you mean NSAIDs such as advil or aleve; or steroids?

I use bromamine (which might be spelled wrong). It is an all natural anti-inflammatory. In a pinch I use IBprophine (which I know is spelled wrong).
My doc had me on 600 mg of IBprophen when I was a teenager.
I use bromamine now because it is natural and I hate putting meds in my body unless I absolutely have to.
Bromamine is at any health food store in my area. Whole Foods is where I buy mine.
Just make sure you take in on an empty stomach or it will not be absorbed. That isn't marked on the bottle always.
Hope that helps.

I take 600 mg of ibuprofen 3x a day during the first two days of my period. I would be bed-bound by pain from cramps if I did not.
