Post by austrian-girl24 »

Hi,iá, crystalline and have one question to all here who suffer from a persistent genitale arousal...

Had anyone experience or a sucessfull treatment with Citalopram or Escitalopram names Lexapro or something in the US ???

My doctor give me these pills today and tomorrow i´ll take the first.

I hope it makes a reduction of arousal....this feeling is sometimes horrible!

And how much times they needed to make a effect for PGAD?

Thanks a lot for you Tipps

I am currently on a similar drug, Cymbalta, which is supposed to help with nerve pain, although it does not help with mine.

I only get PGAD when I am in a severe flare, if I have been walking, lifting, bending, reaching, or sitting too much. Can you spend a few days resting flat in bed to see if it will subside? It is surely the worst symptom of them all.

I understand!

Yes, I took escitalopram (lexapro). It was very helpful and took away about 75% of PGAD before surgery. I think it helped after a few days, but it can take 6 weeks to have its full effect.

Good luck, I hope it helps you!

PNE since 2002. Started from weightlifting. PNE surgery from Dr. Bautrant, Oct 2004. Pain now is usually a 0 and I can sit for hours on certain chairs. No longer take medication for PNE. Can work full time and do "The Firm" exercise program. 99% cured from PGAD. PNE surgery was right for me but it might not be for you. Do your research.

I was taking 10 mg. It did not completely take away the symptoms but it helped.
