Sugery for removal of scar tissues for Mahzi
Sugery for removal of scar tissues for Mahzi
Hi I am Mahzi and I just wernt through a redo surgery for the removal of scar tissues. I first had TIR surgery done in France in Aix en Provence by Dr. Bautrant and was fine for 5 years. After that the pain came back and nothing was helping me except medication. I finally went to Europe and the tests showed that I have pudendal neuralgia and had to do a surgery to remove all the scar tissues which had formed. Its only been five days now and lets hope I get a speedy recovery. The second operation was not done by the same doctor. He told me and showed me the video of my surgery I was encased with scar tissues and therefore the nerve got restricted. The doctor said it was a long and very difficult surgery so he does not like to do redo surgery but did it as a favour for me as I met him through a doctor friend of his who requested him to do it for me therefore name with held.

Good luck Mahzi. Did your Dr. give you any tips to stop or reduce the build up of scar tissue and allow 'nerve glide'? Hope this one last and lasts and. . . . .
Take care,
Helen

hi Mahzi may I ask you where you had the second surgery? I'm entrapped in scar tissue, too and I'm looking for someone in europe.

Hi Mahzi,
I think it would be very difficult to go through a second surgery but you are blessed to have found a physician who was willing to do the redo surgery. Did he have any explanation as to why you were fine for 5 years and then suddenly developed pain from scar tissue?
I expect you are probably not feeling too great yet but I hope your recovery goes well and that you will be back to normal soon.
Regards,
Violet

PNE since 2002. Started from weightlifting. PNE surgery from Dr. Bautrant, Oct 2004. Pain now is usually a 0 and I can sit for hours on certain chairs. No longer take medication for PNE. Can work full time and do "The Firm" exercise program. 99% cured from PGAD. PNE surgery was right for me but it might not be for you. Do your research.
Redo surgery from Mahzi
Hi violet
The doctor said scar tissues can form anytime not necessarily a few months after surgery. Sometimes scar tissues may not put pressure on the nerve immediately so you dont feel the pain but as they build up overtime they start putting pressure on the nerve; This time the pain is more as the surgery was long and difficult so recovery will take a long time he said. Not like the first time where they just remove the blocks. Removal of scar tissues is a difficult procedure and the surgery lasts a long time. Yes he given me an exercise to do daily right now just 10 counts 3 times a day. It is a rotation of the legs from left to right standing position and walk as much as I can. This will prevent scar tissues from forming. He makes all his patients do it. He has also made me buy a special cut out seat which he designed and is made by a person so I got that and sit on it all the time. My recovery he said will take many months nothing less the 3 to 6 months and maybe more. No gurantee that scar tissue cannot form again this is the major problem with these surgeries. Well I guess we have to take life as it comes and I pray it doesnt form again. Dr;Bautrant never ever replied to my emails; This doctor is very kind and writes back every time even though you may not have had surgery with him. I found him very caring and said every 3 months he will send a questionaire which I should answer for 2 years. I will fly back to India on the 6th of May.

Re: Sugery for removal of scar tissues for Mahzi
Sor hry to hear you also have scar tissues Francesca but the doctor asked me to withhold his name as he does not do redo surgeries. He told me there is a doctor in America who does redo surgeries. Who did your first surgery does he not do redo? I dont know if Dr. Bautrant does redo surgeries try to email him or phone him you might get lucky he however never replied to my emails even though I had my first surgery through him. I am sure if you ask on this sight maybe somebody has done a redo in Europe or they can guide as who does redo in America.
Re: Sugery for removal of scar tissues for Mahzi
my previous surgery was in italy and they destroied my life so I'm looking abroad.
I had an mri in ny and the radiologist, dr. potter, referred me to a surgeon there but at the moment I can't afford another trip or surgery in america so I'm looking for someone in europe.
I'm not considering dr. bautrant, I've already been examined by him.
thank you anyway mahzi.
