2 Weeks Post Op

Well ladies and Gents,

It has been a long 2 weeks. My pain has been at about 7 at the highest and 2 at the lowest. I think I might have overdone it yesterday. I go back to the doctor next Wednesday. I have a sense of my girl parts being tense and constricted for some reason. I have a hard time just being able to relax. I hope this gets better soon, I am so sick of the roller coaster of a life that I have been living. Getting around is a little bit better, stairs are ok. I think I just need to take 2 steps back and try to not getter better before it's supposed to happen! My days are long, I Miss my job and most of all my co-workers! Being stuck at home is not a good thing for a people person such as myself! Keep the positive thoughts and prayers flowing, there a lots of loving people that need them!

Have a Great Weekend,
Nichole

Hi Nichole,

Hope things have improved for you since going back to work. Most people I know have taken a few months at least so I have to say you are brave to go back that soon after surgery! Please take it easy and try not to overdo. It takes time to recover from PNE surgery and you may need pain meds for awhile yet. I didn't go of narcotics until 9 months post op.

Take care,

Violet

Hi Nicole,
I agree with you about how difficult the isolation is with staying home. For me, this was the toughest part of my surgical recovery! Oh, and the restrictions, of course. ;)
It's one thing if you're home and able to take on projects or go places for the day (i.e. lead a "normal" life), but that's not how it works in our situations. However, things WILL get a bit better with each passing month.

Probably the best advice, ever! Not easy, but good, sound advice just the same. It's amazing how easy the simplest of things can cause the pain to flare and you have to be cognizant about what your limitations are, accept them, and do what you can within those boundaries.
Best wishes with your appointment on Wednesday. I hope you get confirmation that you're coming along as expected.
Warm regards,
Karyn
