Hello,

I hope anybody knows who would operate PFCN. Save Dr. Dellon. I do not trust him because of what I have heard.

Thank you,

Helen

Hi Helen,

I do believe Prof. Robert in Nantes does this surgery. There was a case on the UK forum some years ago about a lady who had impingement of this nerve following a hip replacement. From what Iremember she had a good outcome . I know this is a very long way from you.

Regards Molly

Thank you Molly,

Unfortunately I am in Michigan.

But I am sure I will find someone.

Best Wishes

Helen

Hi Helen,
Dr. Williams, who is an associate of Dr. Dellons performs surgery of the PFCN. He also takes insurance.
Best regards,
Karyn

A Dr. Tubbs at Pediatric Neurosurgery, Children's Hospital, 1600 7th Avenue South, ACC 400, Birmingham, Alabama 35233 published a paper in 2009 that looked at the anatomy of the PFCN, maybe they are now doing surgery or can recommend someone to you. The email contact information on the publication for Dr. Tubbs is: rstubbs@uab.edu

There is a radiologist at John Hopkins, Dr. Fritz, who does nerve blocks to the PFCN, maybe he can give you a name besides Dr. Dellon. Contact information: Russell H. Morgan Department of Radiology and Radiological Science, The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, 600 N. Wolfe St., Baltimore, MD, 21287, jfritz9@jhmi.edu.

There is a Dr. Ducic at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital that is a peripheral neurosurgeon. He trained with Dr. Dellon. About 2 years I contacted him after I saw Dr. Dellon because he takes insurance. At that time you had to fill out a questionnaire, pay $90.00, and he reviewed your case before he would see you. I got a nice email from him explaining why he felt I wasn't a good surgical candidate. I do not know if he is still requiring an evaluation by a questionnaire first or not. Here is a link to his webpage that has his contact information.

Helen,
I had a lateral cutaneous femoral nerve decompression with Robert in France when I had my decompression surgery, I know of a patient who had the posterior nerve decompressed with great results. I don't know of anyone in the USA who does this surgery maybe dr higher is following the same protocol?
