had bilateral aclock block today

So I 'm done the block. It was painfree and quickly done. So my bum cheeks went numb like a tooth freezing first. Then the labia and vagina. I put jeans on and sat ALOT the rest of the day to see if worked. It felt better right after but the familiar stinging/burny feeling was back in my inside ureathra area or somewhere and pelvis area with jeans and sitting. The freezing was totally gone within 4 hours. I told Dr. Gordon that it still was hurting but he said to see how the following weeks turn out. Dr. Peng and staff were very nice. Any comments? It seemed it was numb in my pain area but it still hurt with the jeans and sitting.

Hi Chex

I have had a block done transvaginally - that went numb for a few hours but the nerve pain never lessened with time for me but it may be different for you.

I no longer wear anything like jeans that can pull or be tight around that area - i hate it but i now wear a skirt of some sort all the time but as women at least we have that option.

Chex, I just answered your other post about your block. The fact that you felt better temporarily after the block could indicate a diagnosis of pudendal neuralgia. But nerve block results aren't 100% diagnostic.

diminishing of pain in the scale you described is clearly indicative to pudendal neuropathy, I would say.
