What if nerve pain is responsive to NSAIDs?

Hi,

I was just wondering what it means if my nerve pain is VERY responsive to anti-inflammatories like Voltarol and Naproxen 250 mg ?
they work a bit better for me than Amytriptiline !
does this mean the nerves are entrapped or just irritated or damaged? mine were startled by an infection for example.

thank you
xxx

From what I,ve been told by my pain consultant, muscle spasm is very receptive to NSAIDS, so perhaps you have a greater degree of muscle spasm and the nerve is less of an issue.

Only my thoughts,

@ molly, I would kill to know the answer of my pain is relaxing the muscles via pelvic therapy !!!
thank you for your reply, molly! I wish you all the best <3

I expect for many of us it's a combination of both nerve and muscle component, even the experts I have seen say it's very difficult to work out which is which. It leaves us with a chicken an egg problem,if only we know.

Have you tried some pelvic physio? It's certainly worth trying if you have,nt.
