PNE + Nausea

Post by dkov »

Hi,

I'm new here and it's nice to see a forum for PN/PNE. I've seen many doctors who never gave me answers until I discovered by doing my own research and diagnosis by exclusion of all other tests being ok.

I first had PN 9 months ago. When I finally realise that sitting was causing the pain I started standing at my office desk (I actually bought and adjustable height desk). Things were better for a while but now the PN is back. I didn't realise that doing squats and using an eliptical trainer would bring it on, so I am back to square one now.

Along with all the usual symptoms of groin discomfort, burning feeling when going to the bathroom etc, I also get nauseous at times. I had this the first time around too. Does anybody get this too (I don't take medication)?

I'm new here too and haven't had time to add my story yet. I haven't been diagnosed with PN as i only found HOPE on Saturday and have to speak with my colorectal consultant, however i tick most of the boxes. I'm pretty sure i have it and if I do, yes initially when at it's peek i felt sick. No pain, even childbirth made me feel sick.

Welcome, guys. There were certain symptoms of PN that made me feel nauseated to where I could hardly eat. I knew one gal with PN who used to take marinol for nausea. So, I think it's possible for PN pain to be accompanied by nausea.

If you are having groin pain you probably want to rule out inguinal hernia and other nerve neuralgias such as the ilioinguinal and genitofemoral nerves. You can read donstore's most recent posts on hernias if you use the search bar in the upper right corner.

Best,

Violet
PNE since 2002. Started from weightlifting. PNE surgery from Dr. Bautrant, Oct 2004. Pain now is usually a 0 and I can sit for hours on certain chairs. No longer take medication for PNE. Can work full time and do "The Firm" exercise program. 99% cured from PGAD. PNE surgery was right for me but it might not be for you. Do your research.
