rectal pressure

I posted before about symptoms of pn since childbirth 8 months ago. A recent procedure vaginally has made me worse. New pain and discomfort upon touch. I also now have immense rectal pressure, so bad it often makes me want to push out of my bottom when I'm stood. Could a nerve cause such sensation? I am not so sure. I do have a moderate rectal prolapse but I have only just started to feel this intense feeling since the vagina procedure which the gynae has said wasn't a nerve block. He called it hydradissection of vaginal tissues with anaesthetic and steroid. Nevertheless it has aggravated everything. I just hope he hasn't caused permanent damage.

Nothing helps to alleviate this pressure. I hate standing up yet sitting down is uncomfortable. I can't believe this is happening to me.

Some people describe their symptoms of PN as a golf-ball or even a football in the rectum and several have described it as pressure. I'm not sure if the procedure would have aggravated the inferior rectal nerve but hopefully it is just a temporary aggravation and will fade as the steroid wears off. Some people do have a temporary worsening of symptoms from steroids received in nerve blocks so maybe the steroid you received during this other procedure is causing a temporary flare-up in symptoms.
