Hi Vicky,

Welcome to the forum. Certainly it sounds like the area innervated by the pudendal nerve is affected but the trick is to figure out where along the course of the nerve the problem is. It's hard to say whether you might have what's called a radiculopathy coming from your spinal area or whether it's the peripheral pudendal nerve that is affected.

Have you been evaluated by a physical therapist who specializes in pelvic misalignments and SI joint problems -- or in treating pudendal neuralgia?
PNE since 2002. Started from weightlifting. PNE surgery from Dr. Bautrant, Oct 2004. Pain now is usually a 0 and I can sit for hours on certain chairs. No longer take medication for PNE. Can work full time and do "The Firm" exercise program. 99% cured from PGAD. PNE surgery was right for me but it might not be for you. Do your research.
