Update on Treatment with Dr Michael Durtnall

I wanted to give an update now I'm 8 months following start of the treatment period with Michael and 3 months following my last review.

I have continued to see Michael and Sofia, and now Marta, on a regular basis, and seen a huge improvement in the coccyx pain I was experiencing, as well as with the prudendal neuralgia issues I was having. I would say I am very nearly fully recovered, but have continued the treatment alongside combining pilates and yoga to strengthen, with the hope to be strong enough for a second pregnancy.

Through further treatment, we have begun to understand that the issue with my ongoing tight hip flex was linked to a tightness in the obturator internus. Michael has worked on this using manual therapy internally, using sweeping massaging movements to work to relax the muscle. With Marta's work on the trigger points too, I have finally started to feel relief to my hip flex area too. An amazing step forward.

Similarly to my last review I would recommend anyone suffering from similar issues to see Michael and his team. The treatment is so specific and unique to me as individual, I always feel listened to and have certainty that I will make the full recovery which prior to finding Sayer Clinic I wasn't sure was possible.

I did see Michael Durtnall. His treatment didn't help me . I have had numerous trigger point treatments elsewhere, and none of them helped at all.
I have spent a lot of money of these treatments with no results at all.

I went to Sayer Clinic for my coccyx pain. Had internal manipulation and was told that i had tight pelvic floor and was recommended physio to release the tension.

I had NO pelvic pain prior to the treatment. After a course of treatment and spending lots of money, i started to get weird sensation in my clitoriuos and labia. Feeling a foreign object in my rectum. Finally a full flare up with severe burning pain from the rectum to clitorious for hrs few months after the treatment. I am totally drained. i have 2 problems to deal with now. a painful coccyx and a mysterious burning pain.

PT could worsen things. They might helped others but definitely not me. Give it a good thought if you are going for physio.
