Health Organization for Pudendal Education

Hello, my entire history is on welcome center: "Pudendal nevralgia from 12 years"

I booked exams "Staged sacral reflex" and "pudendal ultrasounds" with Dr. DeBisschop (Aubagne, France).

I want ask you if someone already did this kind of exams and his experience.

Also, some practical advice: he sent me an email in which proposed 6th january 11 am and 12 am... I accept and confirm but after some days I had a doubt about this date because it is no-working day and I sent another mail to ask the cost and another confirm specifyng that it is no-working day...
He send me the costs in attachment but doesn't answer about the date confirm (also in previous mails he doesn't answer at all questions).

It is normal for french doctor to work on festivity? I have to book flight and hotel then I'm a bit worried that he did not consider it...

Gabriel, I did not have a pudendal ultrasound but I think I had the staged sacral reflex. It's a little bit painful but doesn't take very long.

I don't know about the French holiday. I would email him again with just the one question to confirm the date and that it is not a holiday. If you have to ask more than one question in an email it might help to number them...

etc., and keep them short. Doctors are very busy people.

Don't worry about the January 6th 2017, it's a working day. Where did you read that it was a non working day in France ? The only thing we do on this date is eat some Galette des Rois



Btw, you should have some when you're there. It's wonderful

I did the exams with Dr. De Bisschop. They are not painful, only uncomfortable, and perfectly tolerable.

I already sent him some mails with questions but he never answer me more then one question at time...
I I would not look too insistent...

I'ts a desperate attempt to find something treatable in my nervous system...
Also in Italy I made a search about "Scrambler therapy" for pain can not be diagnosed at the peripheral level. Do you know something about this approach?

Here I read "festivity", but now I made a better search and see in the note "event day" and not "official rest day":

I don't know anyone who tried Scrambler Therapy but there is some evidence for it in the scholarly literature including an article at the following link: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21763099

It sounds similar to a TENS unit only maybe more powerful. I had good results with a TENS unit after PNE surgery but before surgery it actually caused pain flare-ups so I don't know.

Yes, i'm french. I was living in the US but went back when I saw that all the PN specialists were in France (and also because healthcare is cheaper)

It is located in 4 Cours Voltaire, 13400 Aubagne.
Dr. Bisschop give me the address: 781, route nationale 8 - 13400 Aubagne.

I will arrive a day before and leave a day after because on schedules air...

I hope this was a good choise.

I have done the exams yesterdaday with Rajeshree Nundall (pelvic vassels ultrasound) and De Bisschop (staged sacral reflex) and a first nerve block (corticosteroids) at ischial spine on both sides.
First exams show an edema and compression of pudendal nerve on the left side at ischiatic spine and smaller compression (from muscle contracture only and venous reflux) on the right. Not exactly an entrapment but something that produce similar effects....
Second exams (staged sacral reflex) confirmed the main localization on the left side at this level.

Probably Ischiatic spine location was not properly considered by previous specialists...

De Bisschop explain me that we should try a series of nerve block and evaluate the results before consifering surgery.

After first block I feel a bit better in the first minutes to return normal soon after, De Bisschop advised me of this eventuality and explained me that we should evaluate the effects in a longer time span...

I think this is something but I doubt that my complex symptomatology can be explained (and resolved) considering only this aspect highlighted by the doctors.
Remain unresolved issues (sorry for the outburst):

1) Why for the first 5-6 years I only had burning localized to the urethra during specific prostate/bladder activity and no oher sympotms like contracture, diffuse pelvic burnings that appeared much later...?
I can imagine improving symptoms like chronic pelvic contracture and diffuse pelvic burning but if remain the localized urethral burning during bladder and prostate activity it would be only a return to the conditions I had a few years ago where I was better but not enough for a satisfactory life quality (the urethral burning are sufficient to cancel my sexual-affective life).

2) There is an important pain centrlization? In this case nerve block or surgery can be insufficient anyway...
