Hi Joddy

In my case yes definitely, since surgery I have no spasms.... these were the symptoms which were the most troublesome for me. A vibration such as the phone ringing or a bus going past would be enough to trigger these. As well as post BM, ouch.

So for me the decompression of the nerve has eliminated this,

Hi bindy 15,Thanks for answering my post. I have tried a lot of different medications, EGS(Electrogalvanic Stimulation)bio-feedback,and I have seen two Physical Therapists. The last PT I seen, specialized in Pelvic Floor problems. The PT said I probably have PNE, since the physical therapy did not help me. Right now,I have a lot of tightness in the rectum. I see no use in seeing another physical therapist since the last two did'nt help me.I have had Levator Spasms for the last 19 years. I really think these spasms are caused by the Pudendal Nerve being entraped. I have heard that the longer the Pudendal Nerve is entraped, the less chance there is that surgery will help.I would hate to be one of the 30% that the surgery didn't help, but thats a chance I will have to take. I sure don't want to live the rest of my life(If you want call it a life)in this condition. :( PNE surgery is the only option I have left. I'm glad to hear that the decompression surgery helped you.
