Steroid injections

Post by jaxi123 »

Has anyone that has had PNE surgery had steroid injections into the area where the ligaments were?

Has anyone been told they now have arthritis in the entire surgical area?

Are you talking about the area near the ischial spine where the ST ligament was cut? I don't think I had any post-op steroids there -- just some prolotherapy/steroid injections into the sacroiliac ligaments. I didn't have my ST ligaments severed though -- just the SS ligaments. They were already hardened and scloerosed at the time. I don't know if that would be considered a form of arthritis. I think with arthritis it is really important to keep moving. Maybe something low impact like water walking would be helpful for you.

PNE since 2002. Started from weightlifting. PNE surgery from Dr. Bautrant, Oct 2004. Pain now is usually a 0 and I can sit for hours on certain chairs. No longer take medication for PNE. Can work full time and do "The Firm" exercise program. 99% cured from PGAD. PNE surgery was right for me but it might not be for you. Do your research.
