Hi,
I'm new to this forum and trying to figure out what my real issue is exactly.
I'm a male, 38 years old and suffer from constantly being aroused. It's a very annoying condition that has also caused many problems in my life.
After looking into PGAD and the Pudendal nerve it seems like my problem is one with the pudendal nerve. Either being trapped, or pinched or irritated (like I am!).
I don't have any pain from this, just feeling constantly aroused. Sometimes it feel like I'm in the middle of having sex, constantly, with no relief. Even having sex only relieves the feeling for about 1 hour, and then it's back. Like a strange numb/aroused feeling.
This also seems to be WAY worse in the morning, not sure why that is, leading to extreme frustration and anger with no relief.
I've tried many things to help this problem and nothing really works.
I'm trying to figure out exactly where the pudendal nerve is located, and it's route from the spine to the penis. I've searched all day long with no real results. Does it go from the spine to the penis on one side of the butt, or branch off on both sides? Is it on the left or right side?
I've tried yoga which doesn't seem to help, is there any other way to stretch or relax the nerve, or some way to "massage it"?
Thanks,
-Kyle

2007-08 pelvic muscles spasms treated by EGS. 6/27/10 sat too long on hard chair- spasms, EGS not work Botox help, cortisone shots in coccyx help, still pain, PT found PNE & sent me to Dr Marvel nerve blocks & MRN, TG left surgery 5/9/11. I have chronic bunion pain surgery at age 21. TG gave me back enough sitting to keep my job & join in some social activities. I wish the best to everyone! 2019 luck with orthotics from pedorthist & great PT allowing me to get off oxycodone.
Re: Pudendal Location/path?
Any idea what might have started this? Sometimes history is really important in figuring out the cause.
If your arousal is primarily in the penis you could try some premjact spray. If it is deeper inside the pelvis you probably want to have an evaluation by a PT to see if your pelvic floor is overly tense. You could also try some medications such as a tricyclic antidepressant, or maybe some gabapentin. Have you seen any pudendal neuralgia specialists yet?

PNE since 2002. Started from weightlifting. PNE surgery from Dr. Bautrant, Oct 2004. Pain now is usually a 0 and I can sit for hours on certain chairs. No longer take medication for PNE. Can work full time and do "The Firm" exercise program. 99% cured from PGAD. PNE surgery was right for me but it might not be for you. Do your research.
