Going in to see dr. Conway to do transgluteal decompression surgery. I'm pretty sure that my entrapments are in the alcocks canal. Do they slice open the canal to let the nerve and artery breath?

Can anyone that has done this surgery let me know what's specifically is going to happen?

Last I heard Conway does the TG approach which you can read about at the following link: http://www.pudendalhope.info/node/23
My understanding is that he does not completely cut across the ST ligament but just makes a slit in the ligament so he can access the nerve. But you would need to check with Dr. Conway to find out for sure what he does currently.
