Mom, the pudendal nerve innervates the bladder sphincter so if the pudendal nerve is irritated urinating can cause pain. Why would it cause pain in the rectum? Not sure but maybe urinating can set up pelvic floor muscles spasms that affect other branches of the nerve or if the main trunk of the nerve is entrapped you can get pain anywhere that's innervated by the PN.

Ive no idea why this happens to PN patients but it does...for me most bowel motions cause urination stinging and irritation for a few hours after a movement regardless of what i have eaten etc. I really feel for your little girl, but know that she is very lucky to have a mom who can listen carefuly to what she is saying....I am nearly 48 and cannot understand what happens to me so I have no idea how a 7 year old can have a clue....bless you for your understanding and patience on her behalf.
I have been bending a little too much the past few days and wow the buttock stabbing and electircal shocks have been terrible....almost reminding me of my immediate recovery days from Bilateral TG Surgery - which was 6 years ago! This condition leaves a long trail.

Amanda,
Thanks for sharing. So to much bending "flares" or agrivates you?
This is definitly a LONG journey. She is doing the best she can to tell me what she is feeling. The roller coaster ride is heart breaking
Thank you for the encouragement

We have seen Loretta and Dr. Hibner for my 7 year old. She is compressed at the last branch of the pudendal nerve ( the clitoral nerve) Stretching and massgae therapy have brought great relief of symptoms but not eliminated them.
Glad to hear you are having favorable results Sunil

What have you tried for it so far, Mary Jane? Maybe you posted this elsewhere -- not sure.
